From performance dispositive to participative installations, her recent work concentrate more on technology issues. She aims to transpose and twist around the standardised uses in the field of creation. The industry and apparatus appears like a common thread running throughout all her work : engines or sewing machines concerts, installations on a bus or in a mine, digital making. Cécile Babiole integrates the field of mechanical device and mass culture to draw a confrontation between creativity and determinism, past and present usage, obsolete and contemporary techniques.

Miniature 3D printed models of iconic cult musical and digital consumer objects – a Rickenbaker electric guitar, a Technics turntable, a video game console – are displayed in a shrine-like case. The work uses 3D printing as a technique to engage with the intimacy and ubiquity of cult music technology objects, their binary status as being intrinsically personal but also massively replicated, mass-produced consumer electronics transformed here as tiny enshrined toy-like artefacts.
